Oakes Park aims to meet the special educational needs of some children within the city who have a physical disability.

Most pupils who attend Oakes Park have specific learning or sensory difficulties in addition to their physical disability. Other pupils may have complex medical needs or visual impairment leading to mobility difficulties.

Oakes Park is able to offer a range of specialist areas, including motor education groups, based on principles of Conductive Education,  augmented communication and alternative access to I.T, whilst also providing access to the full range of National Curriculum subjects.
